About

I've been teaching high school math for 14 years. I'm also the math department chair at my school, and I sit on the curriculum committee, where I help make the decisions and policy that shape learning at our K-12 charter school. And I'm a student council advisor, which gets me involved in planning and running lots of fun high school events (and we have a ton). It's a lot of different things, but they all fill my bucket and I love the variety.

Currently I'm experimenting with AI and building tools that streamline my own work and solve real problems, and I'm moving into designing learning experiences for people in this quickly changing new AI era.

This site is the log of that work: what I tried, what didn't work, the decisions I made and why.

Along the way I read, listen to, and research everything I can get my hands on about AI and AI in learning. I'm a lifelong learner myself and this is an exciting time to be one. My AI learning partner studies the same material as me. That gives me someone to bounce ideas off and a way to pressure-test my own thinking.

I'm glad you're here to check out my work. It's unfinished and definitely not perfect, but it's all part of the process.
